With space for accompanying booklets, posters and cards they are ideal for anthologies and special editions. Gatefold vinyl packaging has been around since the 1930's but we usually associate it with some of the most iconic releases of the late sixties and early seventies whether that be concept albums, live albums or greatest hits packages.

Gatefold Sleeve FAQs
A standard gatefold sleeve can fit either one or two vinyl records. If you choose to have a single record then the left panel of the sleeve can be glued shut or you can add an insert such as a booklet or poster. Custom gatefold sleeve options are available to accomodate three or even four records.
Although gatefold sleeves are mostly used for albums it's also possible to produce gatefold sleeves for 10" and 7" vinyl packages and some of the first gatefolds were actually for 7" forty fives.
