7" Vinyl FAQs and Info
7" vinyl records are usually used for singles. At 45 rpm they hold up to about 5 minutes of music per side. If the music is particularly bass heavy though it might be considerably less than this.
Beyond the obvious difference in size, the importent factor is the amount of music they can hold. 7" vinyl records hold up to around 5 minutes of music per side, whereas 12" records can hold up to around 22 minutes per side at 33rpm.
